Today is Hamburger Day.
Yes, I agree – it seems that every other day is a food holiday. But regardless if you doubt the legitimacy of these days or not, it’s cause to celebrate.
And here’s how:
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., AlMar is having a special that for every purchase of a burger you'll get a $5 beer. Topped with lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and balsamic onions – the AlMar burger is a cravable twist on a classic and a perfect choice for Saturday brunch.
And while you’re in DUMBO, here’s how you can spend the rest of your Saturday:
Kayak at Brooklyn Bridge Park:
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can paddle near the Brooklyn Bridge for free. Just show up at Pier 2 Dock before 1:00 p.m. to secure a kayak.
Visit the Brooklyn Historical Society:
Located in Empire Stores, the BHS museum examines and exhibits the rich history of Brooklyn. It’s current exhibition is “Waterfront” looking at the ever-changing coastline of Brooklyn.
Check out “The Fence”:
Right outside Pier 6, an ordinary fence has been transformed into a gallery wall, featuring the work of 41 photographers.
Whatever you choose to do, enjoy your Saturday!
